This is an easy, flavorful, and inexpensive dish that can be a meal or a side.
- Half a head of cabbage, chopped into 1 inch pieces
- About 8 oz of wide egg noodles
- 3 tbsp of butter
- Salt & pepper
- Optional: Onions, bacon, sausage
Cook the noodles according to package instructions, boiling for about 7 minutes.
Melt butter in a large skillet. If using onions and meat, add now and cook.
Add cabbage to skillet and cook until cabbage is soft and some parts are beginning to brown on the edges, about 7 minutes.
Mix together cooked noodles and cabbage and place in oven-safe dish.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
